About the procedure
Lip augmentation is mainly limited to injection application of specific products, resulting in a larger volume of the lips, or highlight certain areas and emphasize the redness. Lip augmentation is performed mostly in younger patients with primary smaller volume, or with thin lips, or in the elderly, where there was atrophy of tissues in the lip area. There are two basic types of products (filler). One group belongs to the so-called permanent fillers, and the other in the semi-permanent or resorbable. In Croatia, Juvéderm hyaluronic fillers are mostly used type of semi-permanent, or in other words biodegradable fillers.
Juvéderm is manufactured by Allergan, the company that cares about the health and was one of the first to develop aesthetic - medical treatments before more than 35 years. Am I a candidate?
Generally you have to be in good health. If you have oral herpes, certain diseases such as diabetes or lupus, any scars, problems with connective tissue or blood clotting, then you are not a good candidate for lip augmentation. As with any aesthetic treatment, you have to mention to doctor Bagatin if you have any allergies, medication that you are taking and you have to discuss with him about the possible health problems that you had.
How do you prepare?
Before procedure it is important to talk with dr. Bagatin about the effect you want to achieve in terms of lip augmentation, since this depends on the amount of products which will be used. However, it is important to note that you should not overdo it.
During the procedure
The treatment of lip augmentation at the Polyclinic Bagatin is performed by using dermal fillers in the form of an injection that is applied along the edge of the lip in order to achieve the desired shape and volume of the lips. There are several techniques for the application of dermal fillers that achieve different effects, depending on the preferences and options for achieving the best possible effect. The procedure is ephemeral and well tolerated, and there is no pain after the procedure. Since the lips are loose tissue that responds to stings, it is necessary to put cold compresses to reduce swelling as soon as possible after the treatment.

Recovery time
It takes about two days for swelling to subside completely, and after two weeks we expect the final result, because during this time the compound itself reallocates and gains the final form, and possible hematoma and bruising will disappear entirely.
Precautions
Initially the lips may be swollen, even blue (like a bruise), as we mention above, but all of these symptoms are significantly reduced within 48 hours after injection applications. It is not recommended to put any preparations (creams, ointments) but is advisable to put ice or cold compresses on the same and the next day. Also, after the first day after treatment it is necessary to avoid using make-up.
Price
The package includes the cost of preparation, injection procedure and control after two weeks. If you decide for the procedure during consultation with the doctor , the cost of consultation is included in the price of the procedure.
