The position of the eyebrows is an important factor in facial appearance. Lowering the eyebrows come within the aging process of skin and subcutaneous tissue. About the procedure
The forehead lift is performed as a single surgery or as an additional operation with a complete facelift. How do you prepare?
During the consultation in the Bagatin Clinic you will be informed about the procedure. Six hours before the operation it is not allowed to eat or drink. Before and after the surgery it is required to restrict smoking and avoid using medications that reduce blood viscosity (consult your doctor - general practitioner).
During the procedure
The operation is performed under local anesthesia and lasts from two to five hours. The incision is usually made from one ear to the other, slightly above the natural hairline. In the case of a high forehead, the incision may be in the hair to reduce the distance from the eyebrow to the hair. Soft tissues are gently lifted until the root of the nose. At this point the muscles of the forehead can be loosened or removed. After that, the eyebrows are symmetrically raised and excess skin is removed.
Recovery time
After the operation, a tight bandage is set as well as drainage for the removal of secretions from the wound until the next day. After about five days bandages will be removed. Part of stitches, will be removed after six days. A week later there will be a control in the Bagatin Clinic, when remaining sutures or clips will be removed. It is necessary to avoid saunas, steam baths, exposure to sunlight, sport and hair dying.

The package does not include: stay in the Bagatin Clinic longer than one night, accommodation costs prior to admission in the polyclinic, telephone charges, preoperative examination (routine blood tests, ECG, chest X-ray), laboratory costs, drugs that are not connected with the operation, and consultations with other specialists and costs associated with other patients disease, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, asthma, thyroid disease, allergy medications, heart disease, etc.
